Let's each take responsibility for creating new or imaginary places that could exist in Weyard... Though honestly I wanted to hold off on this until I had finished playing the GBA games, but I think it'll be good food for conversation, and a good brainstorming tool.
Here are two ideas:
--> A village of psychic jupiter adepts, who do most of their transactions in a virtual mental space (like the internet)
--> A research settlement trying to figure out why Wayard is flat, and what's off the edges.

-->A town full of beggars and thiefs, because their lord demands too much money from them. (in my story this is where Lunpa would have come from) Well it's not a town but more of a city.

Agillity/Speed in most RPG games is better then Attack/Force/power.

How does the lord make money? And who the beggers and theives get money from, if not the lord?

If their world is flat, I don't think they'd be asking why, but rather what. Specifically, what's on the other side?

I agree. Hence some sort mining or excavation town. Perhaps with some extreme sports elements.

How about adding towns from Golden Sun 3 into the original map?

You'd have to completely remake them using the original GS's tilesets due to how DD's shift to models and drastic change in aesthetic, but it could be done. It'd likely be a good exercise in learning about it, and would let us make a direct comparison to towns from the original games.

That's what I was suggesting... I did not like the graphics in GS3. The original ones are amazing! By the way, it is good to have some girl around here! ;-)

Thunder-squall is a girl? Interesting... (Your avatar says otherwise, for some reason... and you don't have a gender set.)
@flat-world: What happens if you keep digging a giant hole in the ground to see how far you can go?

You won't find it in the guilts of yesterday. You won't find it in the fears of tomorrow. You'll find it in today, right now. The miracle is in the moment.

Like land lords in the middle ages. They have a castle that protects the people, in return he asks money, which he uses to buy weapon and food, which are produced by the people that live inside the castle walls. If not from the lord, ocasional travelers. If their world is flat, I don't think they'd be asking why, but rather what. Specifically, what's on the other side? Yeah some of these things are anwsered in here: http://forum.goldensunhacking.net/index.php?topic=2286.msg40288;topicseenThe theories that are written there is what I think is fannon now. There might also have been some info in the Dem animal folk topic.

Having just been saved from the darkness of the Grave Eclipse by the Light (which seemed to make some turn golden and feel magical), people set out to worship the light and explore their new powers. What does light do?
> Make people golden > Give immortality > Burn things.
And so that's exactly what this new community set out to do:
> be golden > seek immortality (possibly by leaving this world) > Burn things using ancient light.
If you don't get it, don't worry. You'll eventually see the light... The burning light.

So there is a whole settlement of these people? Could be something.
